How Do I Create and Add Documents to Work Folders in Reveal?

To create work folders, click on the plus sign (+) to create a new work folder, name the work folder, select who has access to the work folder, click the "Add" button to save the work folder and then add documents using the "Tag" button.

Work folders are a handy way to organize documents for review, quality control, or productions. As an example, the steps below show how to organize all emails from a specific sender, John Smith, using work folders.

Step 1: Click on the + next to "Work Folders" under the list of folders in the left column.

Step 2: Enter the work folder's name into the text box in the pop-up.

Choose which users or teams have access to the work folder. Any user with access will be able to view any documents within the folder. To toggle between users and teams, click on the headers.

Click the "Add" button to save the work folder.

Step 3: The newly added work folder will appear underneath "Work Folders" in the list of folders. Work folders can also be organized into subfolders. To do so, simply click on the + next to the name of the work folder you would like to add a subfolder to. Using our example, you could organize all emails sent from John Smith in 2015 into a subfolder.

Step 4: Next, add documents to a work folder using the bulk action feature. For detailed steps, see this article on bulk tagging.

After building and running your search for emails from John Smith, click the "Tag" button in the top left corner of the document list.

Step 5: In the pop-up, click the box next to "Folders" under "Properties to edit". Next, select the work folder to add the documents by clicking the box next to the folder's name. Finally, hit the red "Tag" button in the lower right corner and confirm to save.

Step 6: To view the documents, click on the name of the work folder in the list of folders in the left column. Added documents remain in the work folder until you remove them.
